Yeah... there's a lot they're not saying. Like... this place? [ he points at the memorial ] I'd kind of like to know how exactly the people it's for lost their lives.

Me, too. I think it's meant to honor the four heroes who aren't around anymore. But I haven't found any information at all about how they died.

It's so weird for an event that should have been really popular with the news.

We're expected to take over the same duties that these people died for, and we're not even being informed what the risks are.

[ Four of the more established heroes dying dramatically kind of makes it feel like they, inexperienced as they are, would have a pretty hard time keeping up the fight... ]

Feels bad, man. Makes me think we're in more danger than they want us to know.

Mhmm... And then there's the competition. The whole premise of it is pretty weird, isn't it?

A competition as entertainment is pretty standard at least, but usually you'd kind of want people to... sign up voluntarily?

Though that's not always super the case in my world either.

Mhm, there's like... sponsorships and stuff for if you're poor and want to do the sport. It's a better option than just staying where you are, you know?

Oh. So it's that the circumstances leave you without a choice...
